Singing on stage freely or with ease
Requires you to Master some basic things or guide , to actually perform well on stage most singers find it hard to perform well on stage because the overlook this basic things.

Basic things to apply when singing or performing on stage.

Some of the basic things to look after while singing on stage include,

1.) Building your confidence

One of the advantage one can actually have as a singer is singing on stage and a singer has more advantage when he or she is bold, because if he or she believe in his or her self it will go a long way to make them sing freely and make  people enjoy their music. 
One can build his or her confidence by working on singing better and also training their voice and Never minding the bad comment made by people to them because the is always room for improvement when singing.

2.). Do not let people notice your mistakes:

 The is no perfect singer (even professionals)make mistakes on stage which are never intentional, but the difference is they have mastered the art of covering it up or adjusting immediately, so when you make a mistake on stage, don't let people notice it, focus on your song and immediately continue. This also goes for instrumentalists, don't stop playing because someone made a mistake, try to adjust then when you are done you can address the issue.

3.) Score the song perfectly


  Consistent Practice help us to master the Song lyrics automatically , that builds our confidence, because you know the song very well and you are sure you can hardly make mistakes when you sing, please don't raise praise songs when you don't know the full lyrics. If it's a traditional song, learn it very well from those who speak the language, it's very embarrassing for some  ministers to sing and make so many errors in the lyrics of a particular song.

4.) Practice,practice  and practice

Consistent rehearsal will help you to Master the song your want to sing and avoid doing much mistakes when performing on stage.
Use a mirror or video yourself and review your video ,then pick out your mistakes and try avoiding it next time, it helps you see your lapses first hand and correct them. Until you can visualise yourself on that stage doing great.

5.)Show Expression: 

One of the things that will make people to enjoy your music when ever you are on stage is when you are lively, don't expect people to stand up and dance when you are just standing straight like a tree to sing. The should be that sign of emotions on your face and by your body movements, if it praises then move, dance, don't be like a  mountain that cannot be moved. You must not always close your eyes , if it's a song that is talking to your audiences, open your eyes and speak to them. If you cannot look at their eyes then look on top of their heads and let your face show expression of pain, joy,  love according to the lyrics of your song.

6.)Know your range and pick a comfortable key before your ministration: 


It's important for every music minister to know their key so that even when you are called upon impromptu you can just tell the Keyboardist what key will be convenient for you. Know your range  don't try to singing higher keys when you haven't Practice and master it.
You should know the difference between when Practicing and when performing on stage. When Practicing you can try new things but when on stage you give out what you have been practicing.

7.) Manage your time wisely:

 A little introduction is ok but don't use 10 mins to preach when you have just 20mins to minister, hold your own time so that you can manage your time properly, let your mind be focused on the song you are singing, be calculative and have a stage time manage plan on your head and try to be creative even if you were to be call upon unexpectedly. 

8.) Having a personal song list.

 Have a list of songs that you can sing 
Without looking at the lyrics  this will make you to always be prepared for any ministration and avoid the issue of singing only one song when you are being call upon unexpectedly to sing.



9.) Spend time with the Holy Spirit in prayer and fellowship:


 This is very important, don't go your own might, ask for God assistance. Let Him lead you on your choice of songs too and give you utterance, consecrate yourself to Him daily. He is the one that gives boldness, also believes in God's word that says you can do all things through Him, remove the "I can't" mentality and trust Him.
