How to improve your breathing techniques as a singer
Breathing is one of the essential technique that help singers to sing. To be an outstanding singer you have to learn how to breath whenever you sing. A lot of singers find it difficult to control their air when singing this has made them lack the ability to sustain their breath whenever the sing.
To improve in one's breathing technique when singing one has to learn the right way to breath with the help of vocal coach and breathing exercises.

Tips on how to sustain your breath whenever you sing
1.) Use your diaphragm
One of the healthy practices of singing that will help to improve your breathing technique is using your diaphragm as your breathing support to sing. To use your diaphragm to sing you have to learn how to breath with your diaphragm first.
To learn how to breath using your diaphragm place your hands on your tommy and try pushing it in and out.
This particular act will help you to know the movement of your diaphragm whenever you are using your diaphragm to breath.
2.) Know where to pause and take breath when singing
Knowing when to pause and breath when singing will enable you to breath properly and have more sustainable breathing support.
One of the way to improve this skill is by studying the way the artist or original singer pause and take breath in the song that you intend singing.
3.) Developing your diaphragm with vocal Exercises
Vocal exercises are exercises singers uses to develop an outstanding singing technique. Vocal training is base on exercising the muscles like vocal folds that enable singers to have more power and control in their voice.
One of the ways to improve your breathing technique is by developing the diaphragm with the right exercises.
Exercise
*Take in air through your nose only
*Continue taking the air
*Make sure your lungs are filled up with air
*hold it for nothing less than 5secs
*Release the air gently and slowly!
*Continue doing it till you are tire
*When doing this your shoulders shouldn't move but only your tommy (in and out)
Caution!!
*Do not inhale air through your mouth to avoid your mouth from drying
*When releasing the air do not release all at once if not you're going to hurt yourself instead release it slowly till it finishes.
4.) Consistency
Practice and practise will help to develop muscles that helps you to sing and have more sustainable breathing support when singing.
Without consistent practice all the exercises will not be effective. Creating time to sing and practice each day will help you improve in your breathing technique.
5.) Have a vocal coach
In everything you do in life you need someone that will guide you and show you the right way to do it in other to avoid making terrible mistake.
